Exam format, the 700 passing score, domain weights, and a study plan.
Study guide · Practice exams
Build a timed practice exam from 200 original AZ-900 questions. Choose the length, difficulty, and domains, then review explanations and a score report that shows where to study next.
Before you start: These are original practice questions, not Microsoft exam items. The scaled score is an unofficial linear estimate on the 1–1,000 range. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing is saved, so print or save your score report before you close the page. For background on each topic, see the core notes and flashcards.
Set up an exam, answer every question, then submit to see your score report.

Each exam is drawn at random from the questions that match your settings. Questions are spread across the domains you select in proportion to the pool, so a 20-question exam mirrors the weight of each domain instead of clustering in one area. Every attempt draws a new set, and answer choices are shuffled unless you turn that option off.
The pool includes multiple-choice, multiple-response, and simple performance-based tasks such as matching a need to a service and putting the management hierarchy in order. The real exam does not include a portal simulation, and this page does not either.
The 200 questions use the midpoint of each AZ-900 range from the July 20, 2026 study guide, so practice time goes where the scored content is.
| Domain | Exam weight | Questions | Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.0 Cloud concepts | 25–30% | 56 | 15 / 26 / 15 |
| 2.0 Azure architecture and services | 35–40% | 76 | 20 / 36 / 20 |
| 3.0 Azure management and governance | 30–35% | 68 | 17 / 32 / 19 |
Difficulty levels: Beginner questions check a single fact, such as which storage type holds objects. Intermediate questions apply a concept to a short scenario. Advanced questions combine several facts, ask for the FIRST or BEST action, or are performance-based tasks.
In the score report, domains below 75% are marked as focus areas and ordered by impact: a low score in a heavily weighted domain comes first. Aim for 85% or higher across every domain before you book the real exam.
No. Every question is original and written from the public AZ-900 study guide. NodnWebTools does not use or distribute leaked exam content.
No. Microsoft reports a score from 1 to 1,000 with a passing score of 700, and it does not publish how raw scores convert. The estimate is a linear guide for your own attempts, not a prediction.
Aim for consistent scores of 85% or higher on mixed-difficulty, timed exams that cover every domain, then review every explanation, including for questions you answered correctly.
No. The exam runs entirely in your browser. Answers and results are not stored or sent, so they disappear when you close or reload the page. Print or save the score report if you want to keep it.
